JAMB Schedules June 13 for 2026 UTME Mop-Up Examination

Board says exercise will give affected candidates final opportunity to complete the 2026 UTME process

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination mop-up exercise will take place on Saturday, June 13, 2026.
The announcement was made in a statement issued on Monday by JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin.

According to the board, the mop-up examination is specifically for candidates who were successfully verified during the main UTME exercise but could not sit for the examination due to technical problems, biometric verification issues, or other examination-related challenges.

Final phase of 2026 UTME process
JAMB explained that the mop-up examination marks the final stage of the 2026 UTME exercise and is intended to resolve all pending issues involving affected candidates.

The board stated that the exercise would provide another opportunity for eligible candidates who experienced difficulties during the main examination conducted between April 16 and April 23, 2026.

Candidates advised to print slips early
Affected candidates have been advised to begin printing their Examination Notification Slips from June 6, 2026.

JAMB also urged candidates to visit and familiarise themselves with their examination centres ahead of the scheduled date to avoid confusion or delays.

The board stressed that no additional opportunity would be given after the mop-up examination, making it the final chance for affected candidates to participate in the 2026 UTME.
