Two undergraduates have reportedly lost their lives following a suspected cult-related attack in the Ede area of Osun State.

Sources familiar with the incident said several students sustained injuries during the attack, while two victims later died from injuries allegedly suffered during the assault.
Other injured students were reportedly taken to hospital for medical treatment. A police source linked the incident to ongoing rivalry among suspected cult groups operating within the area.
The spokesperson for the Nigeria Police Force, Abiodun Ojelabi, confirmed the incident while stating that an investigation had commenced.
According to the police, suspected cultists were involved in a clash that resulted in at least one death.
Authorities said efforts were ongoing to identify those responsible and restore calm in the area.
Cult-related violence has remained a recurring security concern in several communities and tertiary institution environments across parts of Nigeria.
Security agencies have continued to warn against violent clashes linked to rival groups, while authorities have intensified anti-cultism operations in affected areas.
Earlier this year, police in Osun State arrested suspected cult members following separate violent incidents within the state.
