Social Media Buzzes As Funke Akindele Explains Why She No Longer Posts Friends Online
Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has sparked fresh reactions on social media after explaining why she rarely shares photos and videos of her friends and associates online.
A resurfaced video of the award-winning actress recently made the rounds online, with many fans revisiting her comments amid ongoing speculation about her relationships with some close associates.
In the clip, Funke Akindele clarified that her decision not to frequently post certain individuals on social media should not be interpreted as a sign of disagreement or fallout.
According to her, people often assume there is trouble whenever someone no longer appears in her posts, but the reality is usually far less dramatic.
She explained that many of her friends and colleagues are often busy with their personal lives, careers, and engagements, making it difficult to constantly create content together.
While responding to a fan identified as Mide, who asked her to share more content featuring Vee, Funke noted that Vee had already returned home, stressing that everything remained cordial between them.
The actress also thanked her supporters for their concern and interest in her relationships, appreciating the love and attention they continue to show her.
Following the video’s resurgence, social media users reacted with relief, with many saying they were happy to learn that the actress remains on good terms with people they had assumed she was no longer close to.
Others praised her for directly addressing the speculation, noting that her demanding schedule and numerous movie projects likely leave little room for online appearances with friends.
The renewed discussion comes shortly after blogger Tosin Silverdam suggested that there may be a strain in the relationship between Funke and her longtime associate, Akinyoola Ayoola, popularly known as Kamo.
According to the blogger, the pair, once known for frequently sharing moments together online and offline, have recently stopped posting about each other, fueling speculation among fans.
He further alleged that the situation may be connected to Kamo’s recent professional collaborations with Toyin Abraham and Kunle Afolayan, both of whom have reportedly been linked to past industry disagreements involving Funke Akindele.
However, neither Funke nor Kamo has publicly confirmed any disagreement.
