Man charged with burning two dogs after arguing about infidelity
Woman reports threats from her partner in Louisville; after the incident, the man allegedly set fire to two dogs inside the home

A man was arrested by authorities in Louisville, Kentucky, United States, after being accused of threatening his partner and setting fire to his own house with two dogs inside, following an argument over an alleged infidelity.
The act of violence occurred inside the home and is currently under investigation, after the woman went to local authorities to report the threats and attacks suffered at home.
According to documents released by US media, the events allegedly occurred in the morning, when the woman confronted her husband, Bobby Atkinson, 37, after learning of an alleged romantic relationship with another person
Accounts of the complaint
When the woman went to file the complaint, she recounted how the events unfolded and mentioned that her partner reacted aggressively after the complaint.
In addition, the woman indicated that while she was getting her children ready for school, he entered the house carrying a firearm and began yelling at her for several minutes.
Also, according to official reports, it was established that the subject approached his partner in an intimidating manner and allegedly made direct threats, including that of shooting her.
Woman finds injured dogs after house fire
After the incident, the woman left the house with her children to get them out of danger. After dropping them off at school , she requested a restraining order and reported the threats.
Later, she returned to the house after learning about the alleged infidelity. Upon arriving, she smelled smoke and heard the fire alarm.
Inside the building, she found one of her dogs with visible burns and another showing signs of injury. According to the police, both had been exposed to fire and possibly flammable substances.
Following the complaint and inspections at the scene, local authorities arrested Bobby Atkinson and transferred him to the Jefferson County Jail, where the legal process continues.
The man faces charges of making terroristic threats and animal cruelty, according to court records. The pets were taken to veterinary clinics for medical treatment.
So far, the health status of the dogs has not been reported, nor have any details been released regarding hearings or new measures within the case.
