Social media commentator VeryDarkMan has reacted to the viral audio controversy allegedly linked to him, criticising presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga over comments surrounding the issue.
In a video shared online, the activist revealed that he received several urgent phone calls while attending a business meeting after friends alerted him to a post reportedly made by Onanuga concerning the viral voice note.
Reacting to the situation, VeryDarkMan expressed disappointment with officials in President Bola Tinubu’s administration, arguing that more attention should be directed toward insecurity and kidnappings across the country rather than online controversies.
He referenced reports of abducted teachers and students in Oyo State, questioning why stronger public reactions had not come from government officials regarding the incident.
According to him, authorities appeared more focused on the viral audio issue while many Nigerians continued to face serious security challenges.
The activist also alleged that the growing attention surrounding the audio controversy was part of an attempt to silence him, insisting that insecurity and protection of citizens should remain top national priorities.
